Carebun Reading
Read where things are written, and keep the time. On the sites you choose (Outcome School's blog is there from the start), a small timer counts the minutes you actually read: only while the tab is in front of you and you are moving through the page. It keeps everything on your computer, and once you are signed in to carebun it syncs, so your reading shows on every computer, on your Reading Room shelves and in your daily hours.
It is installed in this browser.Version 2.0.0.
Put it in
- Unzip it; you get a folder called
carebun-reading. - Open
chrome://extensionsand turn on Developer mode (top right). - Click Load unpacked and choose the folder. Pin it to the toolbar.
- Sign in to carebun in this browser, if you are not already. The extension uses that sign-in; there is no other password.
What it does
- Counts real reading on outcomeschool.com and on any site you add from its menu, and on articles in your Reading Room list.
- Shows how far down the page you got, and offers I've read it, which marks it read and opens its quiz and recall.
- Works signed out. The time is kept in the browser; signing in sends it up, and from then on it syncs every minute.
- Minutes by hand for reading done elsewhere, on any of the last seven days.
